Special Performance Announced Marking the Historical Finale of Osaka’s ‘Misono Universe’

The Misono Building, a multi-purpose leisure facility, was established in Osaka’s Sennichimae district in 1956. Over the years, the hotel closed in 2019, followed by the banquet hall in 2020, and the second-floor dining area at the end of last year. Then, on July 5, 2025, the event space ‘Universe’ will close its doors, marking the end of 70 years of history. The grand finale will be highlighted by FINALBY ( ), featuring ∈Y∋ (BOREDOMS) and COSMIC LAB, who have staged countless legendary performances at Misono.

Misono Building

The Legendary Cabaret, Misono Universe

Opened in 1956 alongside the founding of the Misono Building, the enormous cabaret was known for its space-themed interior, including a UFO-shaped aerial stage. Its futuristic design, far ahead of the 1970 Osaka Expo, was created by the owner himself and built by the company’s own team. In its later years, Misono Universe was reimagined as a live music venue, attracting a new wave of fans. It became a cherished music sanctuary for both audiences and musicians alike.

Its origins trace back to the “Flower of Life” art party, which emerged from Burning Man and passed through Misono Universe. COSMIC LAB is known for its works in VJing, music videos, visual installations, and performance art.
