Discover the Future of ART × TECH at ‘DIG SHIBUYA 2025’ This Weekend

Explore the synergy of art and technology at DIG SHIBUYA 2025, a next-generation cultural event running for four days from Saturday, February 8 to Tuesday, February 11.

Launched in 2024, DIG SHIBUYA embodies the concept of transforming Shibuya as a whole into an ART×TECH Experiment. This walkable art and culture event lets you dive into the latest cultural trends, set against the dynamic backdrop of Shibuya, a hub of innovation.
From public spaces like the Scramble Crossing and Kitaya Park to clubs and live music venues, locations scattered across Shibuya are reimagined as a decentralized museum. Through a range of expressive forms, the event showcases works by both domestic and international artists, as well as new technologies and ideas from emerging companies and organizations based in Shibuya.

With a wide variety of content happening simultaneously across different locations, DIG SHIBUYA is packed with highlights. However, introducing everything would be overwhelming, so ZEROMILE has selected a few key events to focus on.

Opening Event & Meetup

On the first day, February 8th, an Opening Event & Meetup will be held, offering the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas with artists, creators, entrepreneurs, and engineers participating in the event. You’ll also get to experience curated digital art on the Shibuya Crossing Vision as part of Shibuya Crossing Night Art (*details below), all while enjoying music from special DJs.

The Drone Show Lighting Up Shibuya’s Night Sky

During the event, a spectacular drone show featuring Japan’s largest drones will light up the night sky. Expect a one-of-a-kind aerial entertainment experience, blending drones with live performances. To avoid overcrowding, the exact date, time, and location will remain undisclosed until the day of the event. Over the course of the event, be sure to look up at the Shibuya night sky once the sun sets.

Date & Location: Once during the DIG SHIBUYA 2025 event period, in the Shibuya area at dusk.
Note: Subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.

PAC-MAN Takes Over Shibuya

Celebrate PAC-MAN’s 45th anniversary with a scavenger hunt throughout Shibuya. This interactive experience is brought to life by Los Angeles-based startup Flickplay in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. Utilizing a Web3 platform, this event offers a glimpse into the latest entertainment technology. It’ll surely provide great inspiration for those in marketing and creative industries as well.

Shibuya Crossing Night Art

For one hour each night, the Vision screens at Shibuya Crossing will be hijacked to showcase art from official programs and open-call submissions. This visual spectacle will light up the area from midnight to 1 AM over the course of three nights. Just be careful not to get so mesmerized that you miss the last train. However, in the event you do, Shibuya’s vibrant nightlife will keep you entertained until morning.

In addition, various programs, including an art exhibition by Ryuichi Ohira and an installation by Philippe Catline, will be held at locations throughout Shibuya.

To make the most of the event, it’s recommended to attend the Opening Event. For those who can’t make it, simply visiting Shibuya this weekend will be an amazing experience. Be sure to check the official website before you go, and enjoy the installations scattered around the city as you explore.
