WOMB, a driving force behind Tokyo’s club culture, opened its new venue, Z MARUYAMA, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Z MARUYAMA is a compact yet highly functional club space equipped with a full-scale sound system, advanced lighting, and LED visual production. Its minimalist design strips away excessive decoration to maximize immersion in the music.
Unlike DJ bars or listening bars, the venue is designed first and foremost for the dance floor. The interior is unified by a minimalist aesthetic that allows guests to zone in on the music and movement, with a floor layout that fills the space with sound and places dancers close enough to feel the DJ’s presence directly.
Building on the 25-year legacy of club culture cultivated by WOMB, Z MARUYAMA aims to serve as an approachable entry point for everyone from first-time clubgoers to seasoned music fans. Designed as a space that can be part of everyday life, it’s a place to foster fresh connections within Tokyo’s vibrant scene.
It looks set to become a place that will usher Shibuya’s nightlife into a new era.
