Ahead of the F1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Circuit on April 4, Red Bull Japan will host a demonstration run event on April 2 at the TOKYO BAY special course in Odaiba. F1 drivers Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson from Red Bull Racing, along with Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar from Racing Bulls, are set to participate.

This will be the second-ever F1 demonstration run on Tokyo’s public roads, following the 2019 Red Bull Showrun. The previous event was held to celebrate Red Bull Racing’s adoption of the Honda power unit, and featured Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly behind the wheel of two F1 machines.
Since introducing the Honda power unit in 2019, Red Bull Racing has secured 63 victories, while Racing Bulls (formerly Scuderia AlphaTauri) has claimed one win. Max Verstappen has won four drivers’ titles, and Red Bull Racing has taken two constructors’ championships (as of the end of the 2024 season). With Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls’ partnership with Honda set to conclude in 2025, this year’s event serves as a tribute to Honda’s contributions.

The F1 Machines
The event will showcase four iconic F1 machines: the RB7 from Red Bull Racing’s first golden era, a 2025 Racing Bulls livery version of the RB7, the RB16B from Red Bull’s second golden era, and the RA272, the machine that gave Honda its first F1 victory in 1965. With four F1 machine and four drivers, this will be Japan’s biggest F1 demonstration run ever.
