Luxury Bar Lounge THE TOKYO Opens, Ushering in a New Chapter of Refined Nightlife in Nishi-Azabu

On March 27, 2025, a new luxury bar lounge, THE TOKYO, opened on the former site of Nishi-Azabu MUSE, a premiere nightlife destination that closed in 2023. With a vision to become Japan’s most iconic bar lounge, THE TOKYO sets a new standard for nightlife in the city.

A Luxurious Haven

The interior, inspired by the theme of flowers, birds, wind, and moon, was designed by AIDE, the studio behind Shibuya’s or in Miyashita Park and Takeshiba’s BANK30. It combines subtle Japanese touches with a sleek, modern design.

The sound system, designed by CAEL WORKS, utilizes a mix of German, Italian, and French speakers to deliver the perfect sound quality and performance for each area of the lounge.

The main bar area features a large island bar surrounded by a backlit counter and a DJ booth, with 89 seats, including high tables and spacious box seats. In addition, there are five private rooms located at the back.

The private rooms can accommodate groups ranging from 2 to 12 people. Guests can choose from luxurious, Japanese-modern spaces or more intimate, playful settings, such as karaoke box-inspired rooms, perfect for different occasions and group sizes.

A Wide Selection of Fresh Cocktails and Food

The bar offers a wide range of drinks, including visually stunning fresh fruit cocktails, champagne, and wine. The food menu offers a variety of options. It includes light bites like burrata cheese with seasonal fruits and bruschetta with Wagyu tartare. There are also seafood dishes like fried fresh fish, grilled pork, pasta, and desserts. Each dish ensures a satisfying experience for both the eyes and the taste buds.

Cocktails:Left Midnight tea time” ¥2,800 (Strawberry) / Right “Nature Ginza” ¥2,500 (Paprika)

The cocktails made with fresh fruits and vegetables come in both ‘refreshing’ and ‘sweet’ versions for each fruit, making them a great option for those who prefer less sweet beverages. The menu also features unique items, like a paprika cocktail, which you won’t often find elsewhere, and is definitely worth trying.

Even TERUZUSHI is Here !

In a corner of the lounge, there is a hidden sushi counter called 2nd edition TERUZUSHI Nishiazabu, run by the renowned TERUZUSHI from Kitakyushu. Authentic sushi in a lounge is certainly a one-of-a-kind offering.

It’s unexpected yet truly impressive, so bringing guests here as a surprise is sure to be a hit. The menu features only an omakase course, but for private bookings, you can make special requests in advance. With locations in Japan, Saudi Arabia, and numerous pop-ups around the world, TERUZUSHI is renowned for its excellence and service all across the globe.

THE TOKYO is a sophisticated destination that brings together the best of Tokyo’s atmosphere, sound, and food. After the closure of legendary clubs and bars during the pandemic, this place signals a fresh new chapter for the nightlife of Nishi-Azabu.
